ABOUT THE JOB
As part of our team, you will work with clients to solve IT problems, maintain networks and servers, and deploy hardware/software as needed. This is often accomplished over the phone with the client, with some onsite time.
Your high degree of technical knowledge and customer-facing skills will allow you to work independently.
- You will be working In a Windows Server environment, Microsoft 365 and office applications, Windows Server operating systems, Active Directory, DNS, Group Policy, DHCP, Hyper-V Virtualization, DFS, Database Servers, Firewall/Network troubleshooting and configuration, EPDR and Cybersecurity.
- This position requires working with a variety of hardware including PCs, servers, network equipment, printers, scanners, specialized dental equipment, and more.
- When we do onsite Installations, they can be physically demanding and include unpacking, lifting, and carrying equipment, installing hardware (sometimes in difficult to reach places), and using hand and power tools (we provide the tools).
- We provide a company van for driving to client sites. If the van is unavailable, we pay mileage reimbursement.
- You must have a satisfactory motor vehicle record that will make our insurance carrier happy to have you onboard.
- You must be available and dependable during scheduled business hours.
- For the most part, you will work Monday to Friday. However, onsite installations and work may be scheduled outside normal business hours or over a weekend. This position is eligible for overtime pay.
- Some of our onsite installations will take you out-of-state, overnight for 3-5 days, and expenses are covered.
- This is a Monday to Friday day shift, with some overtime, and is in-person.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE (depending on experience and skills)
As a Tier 2, you are a senior level tech and you:
- Identify and diagnose the root cause of issues.
- Independently work on and solve complex issues.
- have excellent soft skills that enable you to communicate with customers and build strong relationships with them.
As a Tier 3, you are a system and network administrator and you:
- Can comfortably work in a Net-Ops environment.
- Design and plan projects, from cradle to grave.
- Design and configure complex networks and server infrastructure.
- Handle advanced network issues, troubleshooting and quickly narrowing in on the root cause and resolving it efficiently and effectively.
- Are the “buck stops here” for anything IT related.
- Drive the technical side of projects for our Project Managers.
- Lead a team on an installation and ensure everything goes according to plan, even when hiccups happen.
Anyone who has experience in Information Technology as an IT Support Specialist, Help Desk Technician, Desktop Support Technician, IT Technician, Network Administrator, Systems Administrator, Network Operations would translate well to this position
