About the Role
Are you a self-starter who enjoys working with people and has strong communication skills? Join Palouse Homes Property Management as a Building Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for marketing and leasing vacant units, managing tenant communications, ensuring lease compliance, coordinating unit access, assisting our Special Projects team with rent collection, and handling various administrative tasks.
Key Responsibilities
Leasing Vacant Units (75% of your time): As the Building Manager, you will take full accountability for the property’s occupancy rate. You will advertise vacant units across multiple channels to attract prospective tenants and respond promptly to their inquiries. Conducting both in-person and virtual showings will be a regular part of your duties. You will follow up with prospective tenants to ensure applications are completed and their questions are addressed, and you will create and distribute leases for signature.
Tenant Satisfaction and Compliance (20% of your time): Ensuring tenant satisfaction and compliance is another critical aspect of this role. You will take responsibility for the property’s tenant satisfaction score by conducting move-in and move-out inspections, handling tenant communications, and performing regular unit inspections. Coordinating maintenance requests and communicating and enforcing lease terms will be essential. You will also coordinate unit access and assist the Special Projects team with rent collection as needed.
Administrative Tasks (5% of your time): In addition to these primary responsibilities, you will complete various small administrative tasks necessary for the business's operations, such as correcting time entries or attending weekly meetings. It is expected that these tasks are completed consistently without the need for follow-up.
