About us
Hot Birds is an authentic Nashville-inspired Hot Chicken restaurant that started as a ghost kitchen spot on Magnolia Avenue in East Knoxville. We open at our first location with indoor dining at Marble City Food Hall in downtown Knoxville and are excited to welcome new members to the team!
We are hiring multiple Associates who would love to contribute to a great team spirit and work environment. We aim to work productively in a fast-paced environment, interact with Guests with a smile, and help Team Members to complete tasks, follow all safety and security procedures, and conduct other duties assigned by the Restaurant Management Team.

Requirements:
- Minimum age requirement of 16 years
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, as well as opening and closing shifts (We are open 7 days a week 11am to 9pm everyday).
- Capability to stand for extended periods and thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in bending, stooping, and comfortably lifting 50 – 75 lbs.
- Ability to work in confined spaces and around heat
- Maintaining a positive attitude throughout all duties
- Dedication to ensuring guest satisfaction and viewing restaurant operations from the guest's perspective
- Effective communication skills with teammates and the restaurant management team
- Strong time management abilities
Responsibilities:
- Adherence to the steps outlined in the Hot Birds Training Program to acquire new skills, duties, and responsibilities
- Compliance with the rules and instructions provided by the restaurant management team, avoiding insubordination
- Prompt communication with immediate supervisors regarding the need for additional training, guidance, or practice
- Understanding the impact of each job responsibility on guests, the team, and overall restaurant operations and success
- Welcoming guests, recording orders, and serving food and beverages with a consistently positive and helpful demeanor, including addressing inquiries
- Collaborating with teammates to prepare items on the Hot Birds menu while adhering to cooking instructions, safety protocols, and sanitation standards
- Efficiently resolving any interpersonal issues by communicating effectively with team members and management as required
- Proficiently operating specific kitchen machinery/equipment such as dishwashers, fryers, warmers, etc.
- Assist with catering and special events as needed
Pay Structure:
Team Members will have an hourly base salary based on experience. Tip pooling % will be added, that will add $4-$7 an hour to base wages.

Estimated Salary: $17 to $25 per hour based on qualifications
