SUMMARY:
The Counseling Services Program Supervisor is responsible for clinical program objectives, standards, policies, procedures and practices. Additionally, they provide clinical supervision to trainees and associates, and assist Program Director with reports required by contractors. Provides recruiting, retention, training and monitoring of MFT, LPCC or MSW interns. The Counseling program provides school based counseling, Child Abuse Counseling, Parent-Child Interactive Therapy and Grief services to Santa Clara County residents.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Participate in the implementation and monitoring of all clinical program objectives, service delivery requirements, standards, policies, procedures and practices.
· Provides psychotherapy services to clients as needed
· Ensure client files are maintained in compliance.
· Manages intern recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding process in alignment with agency goals
· Plans, promotes, attends and coordinates recruitment events for interns and trainees
· Ensure interns and trainees complete all required documentation for their university and for BWC
· Facilitate trainings and workshops (for interns and universities). Ensure compliance with ever changing federal, state and county policies, procedures and requirements.
· Maintain audit compliant, complete and accurate records for each intern
· Participate in intern performance evaluation, acknowledgement, retention and corrective action process and prepare documentation as required
· Participate in monitoring intern caseloads and assignments to support programmatic outcomes
· Provide clinical supervision to assigned interns and trainees (includes school evaluations, group supervision, clinical/practical questions, observations, co-therapy/mirror teams, internal and BBS paperwork). Evaluate clinical assessments and treatment goals for their clients.
· Some evening hours required
· Coordinate with Centralized Intake, school site contacts, and other clinical supervisors to monitor intern caseloads, assignments and address concerns as they arise.
· Participate in ongoing audit and QA/QI of documentation and client records as well as other requirements to ensure compliance with agency policies and funding requirements
· Attend program and agency meetings and trainings as required.
· Complete programmatic and other reports as requested by Director
· Ensure accurate and timely data entry into client’s AWARDS electronic health record system.
· Provide clinical consultation in person and via phone in crisis and non-crisis situations
· Ensure that site is neat and tidy and report all maintenance or safety issues to manger or Facilities Manager immediately.
· Participate in agency trainings and presentations as needed
· Participate in agency Program Quality Improvement activities and initiatives
· Participate in agency Safety initiatives and proactively report safety issues to Facilities Manager
· Regular attendance is a requirement of the position with evening availability.
· Other duties as may be assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
This job supervises interns and trainees.
QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Master’s Degree in behavioral sciences field plus MFT, LPCC or LCSW, and 2-4 years related field experience. Experience working with culturally diverse families required. Ability to provide BBS clinical supervision (or obtained within 3 months of hire). Training in Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) is a plus.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of clients or employees of organization.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Driving is a requirement of the job (valid California driver’s license with access to a personal vehicle that can be used for company business and current personal automobile insurance). Licensed MFT, LPCC or LCSW. Current CPR and First Aid Certification required (or complete within 30 days of hire). Fingerprinting/background check as required by the Department of Justice and/or Title XXII regulations. TB Test required.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to work with basic mathematical concepts as required for reporting.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
COMPUTER SKILLS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Internet software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software. Internet research skills are a plus.
