ABOUT THE POSITION
The JPS Center for Epidemiology & Healthcare Delivery Research (CEHDR) invites applications for an institutionally funded Biostatistician position. CEHDR is a multidisciplinary research group embedded within a safety-net health system that aims to enhance care delivery, advance health equity, and improve population health. Our research generates evidence that informs care decisions for patients in our health system and beyond.
This position will support researchers, healthcare providers, and operational teams in the design and analysis of experimental, quasi-experimental, and observational studies addressing health outcomes and healthcare utilization. We particularly encourage applications from candidates with expertise or interest in applying methods for causal inference or risk prediction. Key responsibilities include:
- Interfacing with informatics experts to create and manage databases derived primarily from routinely collected healthcare data (e.g., electronic health records and claims data)
- Developing and implementing analysis plans for experimental, quasi-experimental, and observational study designs
- Preparing detailed descriptions of analyses and findings for manuscripts and internal reports
- Ensuring integrity, reliability, and reproducibility of data and analysis.
- Actively seeking new knowledge of methods for data management and analysis

HOW TO APPLY
