Duties:
- Perform MIG welding on various metal components and structures
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and welding codes to determine welding specifications
- Set up and operate welding equipment, including MIG welders and associated tools
- Inspect welds for accuracy, quality, and adherence to codes and standards
- Use hand tools, power tools, and other equipment to assemble, weld, fabricate, and finish metal products
- Assist with pipe threading and press brake machine operations as needed
Experience:
- Some knowledge of MIG welding
- Proficient in basic math skills for measuring and calculating dimensions
- Familiarity with FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding) techniques and equipment
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and welding codes
- Knowledge of different types of metals and their properties for proper welding techniques
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, and other equipment commonly used in metal fabrication
