Methodist Home for Children works to ensure safe, nurturing homes for children while working to eradicate the social and family problems that lead to abuse, neglect, family disruption and abandonment. We provide community-based services for children and families throughout North Carolina. We partner with public agencies to serve children in crisis and we raise private funds to ensure that we can deliver the best in evidence-based services.
We are seeking an Overnight Awake Staff for our multipurpose home in Franklin, NC (this is in Macon County).
FIRST THINGS FIRST... WHAT IS A MULTIPURPOSE HOME?
Multipurpose homes are residential facilities for youth. Residency in our multipurpose homes has been proven to interrupt lifetime criminal behavior for Level II repeat juvenile offenders. MHC staff live and work in each home, serving 10 judicial districts, and implement a model of care that teaches teens to change problem behaviors and attitudes, expand their skills and recover from setbacks and mistakes.
WHAT DOES THE OVERNIGHT AWAKE STAFF DO?
The Overnight Awake Personnel, under the direction of the Program Manager, provides awake coverage of the Multipurpose Juvenile Home each night from approximately 10:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. to assure the security, health, and safety of staff and juvenile residents.
SCHEDULE?
10:00pm - 7:00am, Sunday - Thursday nights.
WHAT QUALIFICATIONS ARE NEEDED FOR THIS AMAZING JOB?

Must be twenty-one (21) years of age;

Minimum of a High School Diploma and experience working with client population.

Must maintain a valid Driver's License and an acceptable driving record.
