In Flight’s Community Hab department is looking for creative and self-motivated staff to work 1:1 with children and/or adults with developmental disabilities both at home and within the community. You must be able to relate positively to people with developmental disabilities and want to support theirgoals for a fulfilling life. This is a flexible, fun, and independent position!
What you will be doing:
· Teaching new tasks
· Assisting in the creation and achievement of life goals
· Planning activities within the home and/or community
· Working independently while collaborating with other team members
· Accurately and promptly documenting services, using provided tablet.
$18.00 an hour **Quarterly Bonus given for working 20hours per week consistently for the entire quarter.
(5 to 29 hours a week),evenings, and weekends.
PAY INCENTIVES Available
EXPERIENCE:
· Working with Individuals that have IDD preferred but not required.
Requirements:
· High School Diploma or GED
· Pass all NYS and OPWDD background clearances.
· Attending a full multi-day orientation in Red Hook
· USE OF YOUR OWN VEHICLE -Mileage reimbursement available for any transportation of the person(s) supported.

- Are you willing to travel up to 25 minutes to the person you support? (Once you have the person in your car those miles are reimbursable. Travel to get to work is not. Less may impact how many people we have available to work. If you are not please provide how far you are willing to travel.
- Are you able to commit to 2-4 days of orientation, with some flexibility but all to be completed within a probationary period of 90 days.
