ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. Checks trash compactor’s and dumpster’s pressure gauge readings. Coordinates the pick-up of trash/recycling containers. Notifies supervisor when readings are out of compliance.
2. Tests fire pumps, records results, and performs minor maintenance.
3. Delivers copy paper to all departments and notifies supervisor of inventory status.
4. Performs testing of emergency eye wash/shower stations and tracks results.
5. Assists with the recycling program by collecting and disposing of products such as aluminum, shrink wrap, metal, plastic, paper, and cardboard.
6. Changes and replaces light bulbs, cleans lights, and performs a variety of other simple maintenance tasks.; coordinates light maintenance with electricians.
7. Operates baler machine and bales shrink wrap and cardboard.
8. Unloads pallets and stocks supplies, using forklift, as needed.
9. Assists with moving/installing furniture, hanging wall displays, etc., and other manual tasks.
10. Performs minor building maintenance repairs such as plumbing, dry wall, and door hardware.
11. Performs other duties and tasks, as needed.
ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL/ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS
- Lifting. Not to exceed 50 lbs. – local practice may apply.

SUMMARY OF MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Education equivalent to a High School diploma and three months of related work experience.
- Ability to follow simple written and oral instructions, and to read and follow directions.
- Ability to climb stairs and ladders.
- Ability to follow through on assigned tasks.
- Ability to follow instructions.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Must be forklift certified.

Infectious Control Risk Category I:
