Job Description:
The Imaging Services Manager provides leadership by planning, organizing, staffing, and managing daily operational functions of imaging services at the Medical Center. This role oversees patient care services, technical operations, and administrative activities to ensure compliance with performance improvement plans and regulatory standards such as ACR and TJC.
Duties Include:
- Managing staff scheduling and workload assignments based on changing priorities.
- Facilitating departmental operations by interacting with physicians, support staff, and healthcare professionals.
- Performing procedures within the discipline supervised, including patient assessment.
- Monitoring equipment status, repairs, and maintenance to minimize downtime and impact on patient care.
- Ensuring compliance with department and system policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Providing practical instruction and guidance to healthcare professionals.
- Evaluating staff performance, providing counseling, and directing orientation programs.
- Monitoring departmental metrics like Press Ganey surveys to achieve patient satisfaction goals.
- Participating in the department’s quality assurance and improvement plan to enhance patient care quality and appropriateness.
- Managing inventory, purchasing supplies, and controlling costs within areas of responsibility.
- Adhering to professional ethics and internal controls in all aspects of practice.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
Licenses/Certifications: Current registry from ARRT, ARMRIT, CAMRT, ARDMS, or NMTCB. CRA certification preferred.
Experience: Five (5) years of clinical imaging experience, including three (3) years in imaging leadership.
