The Role
Marco Beverage Systems Ltd (part of the Middleby Foodservice and Beverage Group), a leading global manufacturer of hot and cold-water delivery systems and coffee brewing equipment in the food and beverage industry, is looking for a full-time, Seattle based Accountant. This is a new hands-on role, and the person will be based out of our Seattle office and enjoy access to as much delicious coffee as they care to drink. We are a bike-friendly office with indoor bike parking and good access to a variety of lunch options within walking distance. Core responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities
- Preparation of the monthly Income Statement
· Assisting the Sales Office Manager when required with Sales Invoicing & Avalara
· Proficiency in local, state, and federal sales tax laws is fundamental. This includes understanding nexus laws, taxability rules, and exemption criteria across various jurisdictions to ensure accurate tax calculations and compliance.
· Managing the day-to-day financial operations within the company
- Responsibility for financial reporting including state sales tax returns.
- Ensuring all financial transactions are correctly recorded in accordance with applicable accounting principles and standards.
- Managing Accounts payable and ensuring suppliers are paid in a timely manner and ensure AP processes are adhered to.
- Preparation of the annual budgets and forecasting for the company
· Continuous improvement on reporting, processes & procedures.
· Preparation and timely filing of all regulatory and statistical reporting requirements.
· Support projects within the company.
· Maintaining the ERP.
· Daily and weekly customer invoicing.
· Review and processing of employee expenses.
· Review of Commissions and preparing monthly payments.
· Ensuring balance sheet reconciliations have been completed and reviewed including the Fixed Assets Register
· Managing the chart of accounts and the month end process to ensure transactions are appropriately categorised to enable production of information for internal and external stakeholders.
· Preparation of KPI’s and various ad hoc duties as requested from HQ.

Required skills:
- Fully qualified CIMA or ACCA or equivalent
- 2 years' post qualification experience
- Avalara and Sales Tax experience
- Excellent communication skills
