Job Description: As the Comptroller, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities of the company, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in financial reporting and management. You will play a key role in strategic decision-making processes and provide valuable insights to support business growth and profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise the accounting team, providing leadership, guidance, and support.
- Oversee the preparation of financial statements, reports, and forecasts in accordance with GAAP standards.
- Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate and oversee audits, tax filings, and other financial activities with external stakeholders.
- Manage cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting processes to support operational needs and strategic objectives.
- Evaluate and recommend financial systems and software to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.
- Collaborate with other departments to support cross-functional initiatives and optimize resource allocation.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices to inform decision-making and drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA certification preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial management, preferably in the oil and gas industry.
- Proven leadership abilities with a track record of effectively managing teams and driving results.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial analysis, and reporting standards.
- Experience with financial software and systems; proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
- Detail-oriented, analytical mindset with a commitment to accuracy and integrity in financial reporting.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
