Overview:
The Principal Enterprise Architect is the head of enterprise architecture functions at Rain Bird Corporation, leading a group of individuals to design and implement robust enterprise architecture services. Key responsibilities include:
Responsibilities:

Lead the creation and evolution of the enterprise architecture function.

Lead the development of a holistic view and roadmap of the enterprise’s technology strategy, processes, and information technology roadmap.
- Partner with both business and technology groups to ensure that proposed business and technical solutions align with the enterprise’s overall mission and vision.

Oversee enterprise architecture function and services, including artifacts / blueprints, reference architectures, and guardrails.

Enable adoption of enterprise architecture principles, standards, and guardrails by solution teams.

Spearhead proof-of-concept work to satisfy new business requirements.

Incorporate ongoing refinements to architecture practices as technologies advance.

Maintain documentation of all enterprise architecture design and analysis work.

Provides technical leadership, coaching, consulting and direction to projects and IT colleagues, especially as it relates to initiatives that span the enterprise and/or involve integration across the applications and technology infrastructures.

Acts as an advisor to senior management and internal clients on advanced technologies and their applications for the business.

Proposes new technical developments to senior management, explaining the business case for the investment and its ability to have a strategic impact on the business.

Anticipates long-term business and technology trends, and develops multiple contingency plans, while factoring in a very large number of variables.

Directs resources across IT, their team, as well as vendors and external consultants, to develop different elements of the strategic technology plan.
This is a hybrid role. The ideal candidate will work at the Tucson office at least 3 days per week.
Qualifications:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

In-depth knowledge and experience (12+ years) in enterprise architecture & frameworks and information technology, preferably in the manufacturing and software industries.

Experience with relevant tools and technologies, such as enterprise architecture modeling tools.

Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, demonstrating the business value of enterprise architecture initiatives.

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, IT, or a related field.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Certifications in enterprise architecture (e.g., TOGAF), etc.
