SUMMARY: The Lifting Latinx Voices Initiative (LLVI) Outreach Coordinator is responsible for FWHC’s outreach, education, and empowerment programs that center the needs and experiences of Latinx communities. The role will also act as a liaison to connect our education, outreach, and leadership programs with direct clinic services and provide participants with a link to care.
Requirements:
- some knowledge and understanding of reproductive health, rights, and justice and how race, class, gender, culture, and language affect access to health care services and information in Georgia.
- A minimum of professional working proficiency (https://www.icls.edu/foreignlanguage-programs/ilr-proficiency-levels/) in Spanish and English is required.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and facilitate education and outreach programming targeted towards Latinx communities, with a heightened focus on sexual and reproductive health education for Latinx communities
- Submit weekly reports denoting activities, events, outreach, workshops, and attendees.
- Upload weekly events, workshops, outreach to Google calendar
- Connect Latinx communities with opportunities to participate in FWHC’s health education/Promotoras, leadership development, grassroots organizing, legislative advocacy, and civic engagement programs, or other appropriate activities with community partners
- Cultivate and maintain partnerships with key contacts, particularly those working at the intersections of race and gender or in support of reproductive rights, health, and justice
- Organize LLVI activities and events and represent FWHC as a speaker, trainer, facilitator, or presenter, and in various coalitions with organizations, groups, & programs, particularly those that serve Latinx communities
- Create, design, update, and maintain training, orientation, and personnel materials for Promotoras and volunteers
- Administer, coordinate, and track LLVI program expenses
- Ensure that data on base members, evaluation surveys, observation reports, and relevant training materials are accurately tracked, compiled, and maintained
- Systematize and maintain information on Latinx community resources, contacts, and other data relevant to the LLVI program
- Organize, guide, and grow the promotra cohort and connect them with FWHC’s leadership development, grassroots organizing, legislative advocacy, and civic engagement activities with support from other CEAN team members
- Coordinate and connect program participants to direct services and resources at the Cliff Valley Clinic and other community partners
- Assist with coordinating activist, volunteer, and supporter recruitment and mobilization, with support from CEAN and clinic staff
- Work on special projects as assigned

The Lifting Latinx Voices Initiative Outreach Coordinator will actively contribute to the development of this position and its function within the organization.
