Ground Control is a 100% Global Internet Service Provider with locations in the US and UK. We are currently looking to expand our support department in the Las Vegas area. This is an entry level position with many growth opportunities within the organization. This position will be based out of our Las Vegas office with occasional travel opportunities. The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service, troubleshooting experience, and technical knowledge.
* Assist customers (by phone mostly, email, or occasionally in person) with inquires and/or issues pertaining to Ground Control supported satellite based communications systems. Take whatever action is necessary and appropriate to rectify issues and satisfy the needs of the customer.
* Develop and retain a complete working knowledge of the technical aspects of the various products and services sold and supported by Ground Control
* Perform all account maintenance activities accurately and completely within the CRM, which may include: documenting customer interactions, generating transactions for shipping, etc.
* Demonstrate effective customer relation skills in times when it is needed most by our customers.
* Assist customers outside of business hours as determined by a schedule. Document interactions and escalations within the CRM as needed.
* Expand overall knowledge of topics related to the general satellite data industry, wireless and landline data communications networks, products and features as they relate to computer systems and enterprise network applications.
* Stage and test customer purchased equipment prior to shipment.
* Assist management with any and all assigned tasks and special projects as requested.
*Note – Position may become hybrid with a mechanical/electrical assembly position. Mechanical aptitude is extremely helpful for all aspects.

Prerequisites:
* Able to work independently and on team based projects.
* Communicate effectively (written and verbal) with individuals at all levels/backgrounds.
* Execute PC proficiency (MS Word, Outlook, Excel, Adobe Products)
* Grasp and learn other PC systems as required (Mac experience helpful, but not required).
* Apply attention to detail and issue resolve.
* Comprehend technical information and make rapid, well-reasoned decisions
Qualifications:
* Relevant experience in direct customer service and telephone support, preferably in the wireless voice & data communications industry.
* High school diploma required, college degree preferred.
* Able to clearly speak, read and write in English (bilingual in Spanish is a plus but not required).
* Must have reliable transportation – position is on site, near Tropicana/I-15
* Mechanical aptitude/experience is a plus
