STAFF PSYCHOLOGIST (PART-TIME)

McLean Hospital, America’s top ranked psychiatric hospital, is inviting applications for a part-time (0.5FTE/20 hours) grant-supported 12-month Staff Psychologist position in the McLean School Consultation Service (SCS) program.
McLean School Consultation Services (SCS) is a multidisciplinary team of clinicians with expertise in child and adolescent mental health. Our program is dedicated to empowering schools, organizations, and their communities to promote the positive mental health of their students. We are committed to expandingthe reach of evidence-based interventions for youth and eliminating obstacles to effective mental health support. We accomplish this by translating strategies we use in our McLean treatment clinics for use in school, home, and community-based settings.
The Staff Psychologist will take the lead in providing direct consultation and training in evidence-based practices to our partner districts and manage the consultative needs of them. As a SCS team member, the Staff Psychologist will participate in peer supervision, teaching and mentoring trainees and help to provide coverage for SCS team members as needed. The Staff Psychologist will take an active role in contributing to SCS’s program and curriculum development, including development of curriculum for our Spanish-speaking or Brazilian-Portuguese speaking caregiver and student communities. We are seeking an organized, dedicated, self-starting, and enthusiastic member of our multidisciplinary team.
Salary and recruitment package in accordance with Hospital policies, and a Harvard Medical School appointment at the academic rank of Lecturer, Instructor or Assistant Professor (full or part time) will be contingent on meeting the requirements for an HMS appointment and candidate qualifications including Massachusetts licensure.
Qualifications:
Candidates must have a Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology from an APA- accredited program, have completed an APA-accredited internship, and have a strong background in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy. Candidates must be licensed in the state of Massachusetts. Candidates also must speak Spanish and/or Brazilian Portuguese. Experience in consultation or working in schools is a plus.
