McKinney Welding Supply is looking for a part time collections specialist and accounts receivable manager to join our team. If you are interested in working in a small and supportive environment and have customer service experience, we might be the place for you. Currently we are looking for someone part-time, possibly shifting to full-time. Days and times are flexible.
What you will do
You will work with our customers to successfully assist them in paying outstanding debts while monitoring credit limits on accounts. Training on our software system will be provided as part of the onboarding process.
Responsibilities
- Monitor accounts to identify outstanding debt with a collection schedule.
- Download 30/60/90/120-day reports in order to do an internal review of accounts
- Create and send collection letters
- Investigate historical account information
- Contact customers via email and telephone to discuss past due balances and discuss action to get caught up.
- Update account status accordingly
- Report on collection activity
Requirements
- Experience in customer service, experience in collections preferred
- Self-motivated
- Working knowledge of MS Office including basic knowledge of excel
- Strong communication skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Problem solving
- High school diploma: Associates or bachelor’s is a plus.
- Be able to work on site – in office
401K and health may be included depending on hours - part time job could transition into full time with a work from home option for one to two days per week and three days in the office. Job would be in office for the first three months.

Pay: From $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
