Woven Nest Counseling & Coaching is a woman-led outpatient private practice committed to providing comprehensive and inclusive mental health services to folxs across the lifespan. Our practice specializes in individual, couples, and family therapy, integrating evidence-based techniques through the lens of neurobiology and relational neurosciences within a systemic framework to foster holistic growth and healing.
Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated independent contractor (primarily in- person) therapist to join our team at Woven Nest Counseling & Coaching, LLC. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in utilizing Emotional Focused Therapy and/or Gottman Method for couples and systemic and structural family therapy interventions, to address a diverse range of mental health challenges across familial stages. The therapist will provide primarily couples, and/or family therapy, emphasizing a holistic and system-oriented approach. The individual must have one of the following licenses: LCSW, LMFT, LMFT-A, MFT, LPCC, LPCA, LPATA
Responsibilities:
- Develop tailored treatment plans encompassing whole brain therapies for individuals, couples and families spanning different age groups.
- Conduct effective therapy sessions using Gottman Method or EFT, EMDR, play therapy techniques, sandtray therapy, art therapy techniques and other creative modalities.
- Collaborate with clients to address a wide spectrum of mental health concerns and support holistic well-being.
- Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, treatments, and progress notes.
- Coordinate scheduling and appointments collaboratively with fellow therapists.
- Engage in ongoing professional development and training to enhance therapeutic skills.
- Actively participate in clinical supervision and/or consultation regularly.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or related field. (No CSW's will be considered due to state regulations regarding their license)
- Active license to practice counseling in Kentucky is required.
- Demonstrated interest and/or expertise in EMDR, play therapy, sandtray therapy, art therapy, brainspotting, somatic and other creative interventions.
- Experience working with individuals and families across the lifespan.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently.
- Empathetic and compassionate approach to therapy.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Independent licensure in a counseling field is preferred.
- Trained in Emotional Focused Therapy for couples and/or the Gottman Method.
- Familiarity with systemic and family-oriented approaches.
- Commitment to ongoing professional growth and development.
