Position Summary:
Are you looking for a position that makes an impact on the lives of others, while being CREATIVE and having FUN? Well, this position is for you! BSF is looking for enthusiastic team members, who have a passion to serve youth 4-21. Therapeutic Behavioral Support Counselor (TBSC) will use individualized treatment plan goals to support individuals. TBSC will implement treatment programs (behavioral, life skills, social skills, communication, self-help, play skills).
Responsibilities and Tasks:
As a BSF therapeutic behavioral support coordinator, you will work under the supervision of one of our experienced supervisor and gain valuable experience and opportunity to grow!
- Provide support to enhance daily living skills, social/recreational skills and community independence
- Collect data on target behaviors and treatment goals
- Flexible schedules; afternoon, evening and weekend shifts
- Opportunities available throughout Maryland (Baltimore City, Baltimore, Harford, Howard County)
- Communicates effectively with the supervisor on client's progress to ensure continuity and coordination of care and to report changes in client’s condition.
- Documents client observations after client visits

What You Need to Be Successful:
Education and Experience Requirements
- Minimum age of 18.
- Access to reliable transportation
- Valid driver’s license with no more than 2 points.
- Must be willing to drive a 15 passenger van (if working onsite)
- Must have a satisfactory CJIS report.
- High School diploma, AA in psychology, social work, special education, therapeutic recreation or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 100 hours experience working with youth with autism, emotionally disturbed youth, or individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Staff must be trainable, possess drive and passion to work with individuals with behavioral health needs. Staff have an understanding of providing good customer service and working as a team.
- Limited experience is acceptable and meets minimum requirements. We will train you and help you grow!
- Able to work a flexible schedule
- This is an ACTIVE job and physical requirements include but not limited to:
- Push, pull, squat, turn, pivot, transfer and lift at least 50 pounds.
- Sit, Stand and/or Walk for extended period of time while providing physical assistance to members.

Pay: $15.00 - $25.00 per hour
