Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Property Manager to oversee the daily operations of our properties. The Property Manager will be responsible for managing tenant relationships, coordinating property maintenance, and ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations. The ideal candidate will have strong customer service skills, experience with property leasing and management, and proficiency in Yardi software.
Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of property operations, including leasing, rent collection, and tenant relations
- Conduct property tours and show available units to prospective tenants
- Screen potential tenants and process rental applications
- Coordinate move-ins and move-outs, including inspections and lease signings
- Oversee property maintenance and repairs, ensuring timely completion of work orders
- Maintain accurate records of all property-related activities, including lease agreements and tenant communications
- Enforce lease terms and handle any lease violations or disputes
- Stay up-to-date with local housing laws and regulations to ensure compliance
- Handle customer inquiries and complaints in a professional and timely manner
- Collaborate with contractors, vendors, and suppliers to ensure quality services are provided
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in property management or related field
- Knowledge of Yardi software is highly preferred
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to build positive relationships with tenants
- Familiarity with LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit) program is a plus
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Proficient in data entry and record keeping
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong problem-solving abilities to address tenant concerns effectively
- Knowledge of property maintenance practices and procedures
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in property management is a plus
