This position is responsible for but not limited to, accurate locating, marking and reporting of above ground and underground utilities to include, wire, conduit, cable or structure which is buried for use with storage, conveyance, or transmission of electronics communication systems, telephone or telegraph systems, fiber optic systems, electric, energy, oil, natural gas, hazardous liquids, steam, water, or sewer systems. Use of Inductive, Conductive, Electromagnetic line finding equipment, prior to beginning all mechanical excavations. Supervise ALL Excavation and Crossing of Oxy owned above ground and underground utilities. Ensuring specified “Excavation Tolerance Zone” is adhered to and that those performing excavation meet minimum qualifications to perform duties. Receive and Process all “New Mexico 811 Locate” tickets, using APWA uniform color code flags, stakes, paint to mark utilities. Oversees construction and pipeline repairs and installation, provides advanced troubleshooting and implement solutions. Operates field equipment and handles line spotting.
Qualifications:
· Valid Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record
· Proficient in the use of personal computer utilizing a MS Windows environment
· General mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills
· Good communication and interpersonal skills
· Ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as by self without direct supervision
· Technical skills related to math and analytical processes
· Able to work efficiently with industry line finding equipment
· Ability to interpret line finding data gathered in field scans
· Strong initiative and self-starter
· Multi-task orientation with skills related to work prioritization
· Understanding of business fundamentals
· Understanding of importance of environmental and safe work practices
· High School diploma or GED preferred
· Some college or technical training a plus
· 3+ years oil and gas industry experience preferred
This will be a 5/2 schedule. This position will cover the Midland, Odessa and Big Springs Area.

Pay: $24.00 - $26.00 per hour
