Full Time - Field Safety Representative Position for Southern NH Utility Contractor to work on Maine Projects.
- Works with the Safety Manager, Operations Managers, Project Managers, Superintendents to develop, implement Safety and DOT Compliance Plans
- Monitors safety metrics and scorecards. Identifies deficiencies and takes appropriate corrective action
- Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local safety laws, regulations, codes and rules
- Perform safety observation tours of work sites
- Ensure compliance with all applicable safety and health regulations
- Identify hazards within the workplace and apply controls to ensure compliance
- Develop and provide safety and health training for employees
- Conduct safety audits and accident investigations
- Work to resolve safety concerns at the jobsites
- Responsible for jobsite safety training programs, new hire training, accident investigations
- Participate in developing job hazard analysis and safety meetings
- Experience with electrical transmission and distribution safety standards is a plus
- Knowledgeable in OSHA, EPA, Federal DOT standards and regulations
- Provides various safety support as needed
- This position works Monday - Friday with occasional emergency response need.
