Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Nursing Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide direct patient care and support to medical staff in a variety of healthcare settings.
Duties:
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and toileting
- Take and record vital signs accurately
- Provide basic nursing care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN)
- Assist in the admission, transfer, and discharge of patients
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care
- Maintain a clean and organized patient environment
- Follow infection control procedures and safety standards
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a state-approved Nursing Assistant program
- Active Nursing Assistant Certification (CNA) required
- Knowledge of medical records management and phlebotomy is a plus
- Familiarity with dementia care and outpatient settings is advantageous
- Ability to work effectively in diverse healthcare environments like teaching hospitals or nursing homes
