Essential Job Functions:

Analyzes blueprints and structural drawings

Adheres to applicable welding methods in completion of structural fabrications

Utilizes manual and mechanical processes to fabricate, fit and erect various steel configurations
-
Cleans and prepare metal workpieces using scrapers, chemical solutions and/or grinders to ensure a smooth and contaminant-free surface
-
Cuts, repairs, and assembles building components to form complete structures
-
Conducts post-welding activities such as grinding, cleaning, and polishing of workpieces
-
Other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:
-
Knowledge of industrial structural fabrication, fitting methods, and welding techniques
-
Knowledge of proper use of equipment and tools such as but not limited to; welder torch, LN-25, electrode holder, gas welding and welding electrode, grinders, and end grinders,
-
Knowledge of Hazardous Materials and Safety Regulations and industrial oilfield practices related to equipment/tool use and operation
-
Knowledge and experience in oilfield operations, preferred
-
Skill in operating the following tools and machines: shop band saw; ironworker shear; drill press; plasma cutter, track torch

Ability to conduct appropriate tests to identify and correct faults in framework of structure
-
Ability to follow instructions and communicate clearly
Required Minimum Qualifications:

High School Diploma, or Equivalent
-
Current and valid driver’s license
-
Skill in operating the following tools and machines: shop band saw; ironworker shear; drill press; plasma cutter, track torch

Four (4) years’ industrial oilfield experience, preferred

The noise level in the work environment is usually loud and may require use of ear plugs on occasion. Work condition is outside environment (job site/field site) that may have inclement weather conditions. The incumbent is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, vehicles, and equipment.
