Qualifications:
Education:
- Degree in nursing required, BSN degree preferred. CNOR within one year of hire.
License/Certifications:
- Current license and registration as a Registered Professional Nurse in the State of New York.
Experience:
- Five years or more clinical experience in an Operating Room required. Previous management or charge experience preferred.
Responsible to: Director of Operating Room and Central Services.
Responsible for: All performed behaviors described in position summary/duties
and compulsory duties as assigned.
Summary/Duties:
Responsible for managing and ensuring staff adherence to Columbia Memorial
Hospital's Patient Safety Behaviors by practicing its error prevention tools,
and including but not limited to all policies, procedures and processes related
to the Patient Safety Program.
Assists the Director of Operating Room and Central Services by supervising and
coordinating the patient care activities in the clinical areas of the Operating
Room and other areas as needed. Assists with the planning, directing, and
evaluating administrative duties in the department including but not limited
to: hiring, discharge, promotion, performance evaluations, corrective and
disciplinary evaluation s, scheduling, payroll and daily staffing assignments
or performing the same as the designee of the Director of Operating Room and
Central Services. Serves as a resource person and role model for staff
members.
