POSITION SUMMARY
To be responsible for the successful operation of all aspects of the Front Office of the hotel including, but not limited to, reservations, switchboard, night audit, forecasting of occupancy, and room rates. To schedule, hire, and train employees.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Performs all tasks, duties, and responsibilities of Guest Services in an above average capacity.
- Assumes responsibility for all aspects of front office staffing.
- Works closely with other departments to provide effective communication.
- Provides training to insure that the phones are answered quickly in a polite and effective manner.
- Oversees that the front desk staff is handling reservations quickly and efficiently, “selling” the hotel for optimal room rates, tracking reservations to provide tallies for frequent stays, and monitoring the reports generated by the property management system.
- Acts as Manager on Duty when needed.
- Ensures front desk staff delivers exceptional guest service at all times.
- Serves as backup to hotel staff.
- Runs daily reports for all departments.
- Processes direct billing charges.
- Resolves guest complaints.
- Processes incident and accident reports as necessary.
- Monitors fire alarm system.
- Performs all other duties at the request of the General Manager.
