The Nurse Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, and directing the clinical operation of the endoscopy services including established policies, procedures, standards and departmental objectives. Oversees operation from initial scheduling, Triage, pre-op activities, actual procedure and post op care. Provides support to staff, patients, physicians and outside customers, analyzes and evaluates services to improve quality of care while enhancing a teamwork approach to active problem solving. This is a position located on site in Wrangell, Alaska!

Job Duties:
- Provides specialized nursing care and support to patients, residents, their families, and other healthcare professionals.
- Ensures continuity of high standard of evidence-based nursing care for patients undergoing chemotherapy, wound care, and outpatient procedures.
- Plans, coordinates, and conducts regular and specific in-service training sessions for staff to familiarize them with new procedures, policies, and changes in procedural care techniques.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing – required.
- Active nursing license in Alaska or other U.S. state required. Direct Hire must have applied for an Alaska nursing license at time of hire. AK license within 6 months of start date.
- BLS and ACLS or must be obtained within six months of hire and biannually thereafter.
- PALS certification - preferred.
- Wound care certification - preferred. Willing to obtain within 1 year of hire.
- ONS certification required within 6 months of hire.
- PICC line placement credentialed - preferred.
- Two years of experience within a hospital outpatient services department - preferred.
- Experience in Endoscopy
