The Finance Clerk balances daily Cash Management reports for all Harris County Clerk's Office downtown departments and branch offices.
Duties and Responsibilities:

Maintains and distributes funds in the Registry of the Court. Processes time sheets for payroll.

Proofs all deposits, credit cards and ACH transactions.

Verifies daily distribution totals and cash deposits in STARS and generates reports.

Compiles daily records and reports in preparation for the monthly audit by the County Auditor.

Balances daily bank report with the Registry of the Court System.

Issues checks from the registry of the court system by signed court order and follows up by distributing checks to payees.

Reviews IRS W-9 information so that a 1099-INT form can be issued.

Researches Court Registry deposits in preparation for the annual unclaimed funds process.

Enters and verifies payroll.

Manages the daily operations of sensitive and confidential information with discretion and good judgment.

Assists customers both in person and via telephone.

Other duties as assigned at the discretion of the Director/Assistant of the Financial Department.

Ability to verify deposits, balance reports and check bank statements with accuracy.
