The successful job applicant will participate in the clinical activities of our Baylor Medicine practice group whose activities encompass inpatient consult service predominantly at Baylor St. Luke's Medical Center and outpatient clinics at the McNair and the River Oaks locations. The successful candidate would be dedicated to developing a clinical practice that focuses on general nephrology; however, specific interests in subspecialty areas such as but not restricted to cardio-nephrology, onco-nephrology, or glomerular disease are an asset. The candidate would be expected to participate in the bedside and classroom teaching activities within the nephrology fellowship and medicine residency programs and to BCM students.
The Section of Nephrology at BCM has almost 40 faculty members with multiple active research grants from NIH, VA and industry, and a fellowship program with currently 10 postdoctoral fellows.
