Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Schedule and conduct cycle count activities as directed. Trouble-shoot, understand and resolve cycle count errors. Partner with floor Supervision and Management during investigations to understand root causes
- Create and monitor an effective and efficient space utilization plan. Maintain adequate storage for on-site inventory. Train assigned staff on proper inventory and record-keeping procedures.
- Monitor warehouse capacity to ensure utilization of space and advise management on overflow of goods
- Conduct monthly review of inventory records with an emphasis on identification, explanation, and reconciliation of trends and variances as required.
- Works with the Distribution Center Manager to coordinate and conduct accurate and complete physical inventory counts of finished goods; helps to investigate and clarify discrepancies.
- Check/verify/Audit outgoing shipments for accuracy and quality.
- Collaborate with Leadership to ensure awareness and seek assistance on issues that negatively impact production efforts/expectations.
- Develop and document processes to ensure accuracy and timely execution; maintain accurate and detailed records.
- Participates in and may occasionally lead continuous improvement (Kaizen) activities to improve profitability, reliability and overall product performance.
- Work with receiving to inspect inventory and advise on best storage practices for inventory separation and packaging to ship.
- Works in unison with management team members to achieve the organization’s strategic and financial goals.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED required
- Technical degree preferred
- 1+ years’ experience in inventory management or related field
- Experience with Prophet21 or Similar ERPs tools
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Self-starter and strong written and verbal communication skills
