The Injection Technologist will be assisting on-site Radiologist during arthrogram procedures. Tech will be screening/working up patients, setting up injection trays for the radiologist, and manning the c-arm during arthrogram procedures. When not assisting with arthrograms, they will be expected to fill in as tech aid in MR and CT, helping screen and work up patients for their procedures.
This is a full-time position working Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 8am-4pm in Sandy Springs, GA.
Must be ARRT certified.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Demonstrates the company’s values in daily activities
- Greets and escorts patients to changing room; briefly explains procedure
- Provides pre-exam screening and instructions
- Assists patients on and/or off table when requested by technologist
- Supports technologists throughout scan and contrast administration, as required
- Manages post-scan patient hand-off
- Ensures efficient, friendly, and smooth patient experience for all patients who enter the center
- Ensures smooth patient throughput of the entire center and all modalities
- Monitors center modality schedules
- Adjusts patients schedule when necessary and keeping all techs informed of any changes
- Prepares room set up between patients, including putting proper coil on table, putting previous coil away and changing table sheet
- Helps the technologist stay on time by having the next patient ready before the current patient is ready to get off the table
- Provides front-end coverage as needed
- Attends trainings to stay up to date on best practices and certifications

Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Radiology Technology student or 12 months previous experience in diagnostic radiology or other imaging modality preferred
- Nursing Assistant or any previous patient care/medical care role
- Knowledge of medical terminology
Physical Requirements:
- Heavy lifting: up to 100 lbs. maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to stand, stoop and lift and walk without restrictions.
- Requires computer related activities for extended periods of time
- Requires the ability to see, hear, speak, write and key
