Liberty Health Services is a 24-Bed Medically Monitored detoxification/residential facility located in Derry, NH. Our agency serves individuals suffering from substance use disorder in need of residential detoxification. Our proprietary detoxification protocols are designed to comfortably and safely eliminate physical dependence on substances in order to prepare client for the next appropriate level of care.
Position Purpose
The purpose of the BHT is to assist in providing a safe environment for individuals while they are in the program. The Behavioral Health Tech assists in the admission process, answers client questions and assists client in adjusting to the program routine. The Behavioral Health Tech is the liaison between the client and the staff to report any changes in the client’s physical or mental condition. The Behavioral Health Tech is responsible for supervising clients with emphasis on client safety and wellbeing.
Responsibilities:
· Continuously supervises clients to always ensure Client safety and well-being.
· Assists with the admission process for new clients.
· Records inventory log of all personal belongings that are stored in a locked safe.
· Supports client’s adjustment into treatment services.
· Fills out required lab requisitions per protocol.
· Closely Monitors Clients location and behavior.
· Assist with de-escalating clients and effectively resolving conflict.
· Participates in all scheduled staff meetings.
· Assists the nursing team as needed.
· Assists with arranging, cleaning, and assigning rooms.
· Engages in shift exchange of necessary information to next BHTs and nursing staff scheduled on.
· Implements program rules and regulations for clients and reports infractions appropriately.
· Provide emotional support to clients while encouraging them to meet with the clinical team. · Interact appropriately with clients while showing respect and always maintaining healthy boundaries.
· Completes all assigned documentation in an organized and timely manner.
· Accurately documents Incidents to Lead BHT.
· Effectively communicates within team and other departments to promote quality client care. · Assists in maintaining a clean, properly supplied and efficient work environment.
· Observe and Report Safety and Facility Concerns immediately to Lead BHT.
· Protect the privacy of all patient information as set forth by state and federal law (HIPPA) .
· Performs other duties as assigned.
Job Type: Full Time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
Shift Differentials:
Weekday shifts (Monday through Thursday nights): Increase from $1.50 to $2.50.
Weekend shifts (Friday and Saturday nights): Increase from $3 to $4.
