Role Description:
We are looking for a skilled salesperson with a “hunter” mentality and capital equipment sales experience (liquid chromatography and mass spectrometry preferred) to drive revenue growth for the company. The ideal candidate will have a scientific background and a strong ability to lead strategic conversations with key stakeholders. This role will be a driving force in the success of the company's goals and objectives through achieving and exceeding individual sales quota. Regular travel to customer sites is required, and the compensation structure includes base + variable (uncapped commission). We hope you will consider joining our team! Duties & Responsibilities:
- Meet or exceed sales quota.
- Develop key sales growth strategies, tactics, and action plans.
- Identify target customers.
- Articulate the value proposition of the product to prospective customers.
- Assess customer requirements and represent needs to product team.
- Attend trade shows and conferences to spread brand awareness and identify customers.
- Consult and present to customers, building long-term customer relationships.
- Develop and drive new market opportunities.
Requirements & Skills:
- 2-5+ years of capital equipment sales experience.
- Bachelor of Science Degree in chemistry, biochemistry, or related field preferred.
- Strong track record in new business development and opening new markets.
- Ability to sell complex, strategic sale in a long sales cycle.
- Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close.
- Ability to effectively lead strategic conversations with key stakeholders.
- Customer-focused mindset with a drive to understand and address customer needs and concerns.
- Work effectively with Marketing to develop and refine messaging for lead generation.
- Self-directed, persistent, and goal-oriented with strong communication skills.
- Experience in pharmaceutical, industrial chemical, oil/gas, and environmental industries preferred.
