Welder and Fabricator
Jt Manufacturing LLC is in immediate need of a Mig welder and fabricator.
We work Monday-Thursday 6am -4 pm and any over time is done on Fridays.
Lays out, positions, and secures parts and assemblies according to specifications, using straightedge, combination square, calipers, and ruler.
Tack-welds or welds components and assemblies, using electric, gas, arc, or other welding equipment.
Cut workpiece, using powered saws, hand shears, or chipping knife.
Inspects grooves, angles, or gap allowances, using micrometer, caliper, and precision measuring instruments.
Removes rough spots from workpiece, using portable grinder, hand file, or scraper.
Welds components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions.
Heats, forms, and dresses metal parts, using hand tools, torch, or arc welding equipment.
Ignites torch and adjusts valves, amperage, or voltage to obtain desired flame or arc.
Analyzes engineering drawings and specifications to plan layout, assembly, and welding operations.
Develops templates and other work aids to hold and align parts.
Determines required equipment and welding method, applying knowledge of metallurgy, geometry, and welding techniques.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
General knowledge of welding processes
Knowledge of proper use of oxygen/acetylene cutting equipment preferred.
Knowledge of proper use of equipment such as welder torch, electrode holder, drill press, gas welding, and welding electrode, etc.
Knowledge of hazardous materials and safety regulations and industry practices related to equipment use and operation
Skilled in the daily maintenance of machines including repairs and inspecting equipment to identify possible problems
Ability to use time and equipment efficiently in order to complete projects on time
Ability to handle stress and possess positive trait even in difficult or challenging situations
Other duties as assigned

The noise level in the work environment is usually loud and may require the use of earplugs on occasion. Work may require occasional weekend and/or evening work. Work is performed out of doors and maybe in inclement weather conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, vehicles, and equipment.

Pay: $22.00 - $30.00 per hour
