A Sr. Network Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining network infrastructure. They ensure the network's performance, security, and reliability by managing hardware, software, and configuration settings. The Sr. Network Engineer troubleshoots complex network issues, optimizes network performance, and supports network-related projects.

Years of Experience
- At least four (4) years of experience working with TCP/IP networking environment.
Required Skills
- Network Design and Implementation: Expertise in designing and implementing complex network solutions.
- Troubleshooting: Strong problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve network issues.
- Security: Knowledge of network security principles and practices.
- Protocols: Proficiency in network protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF).
- Hardware and Software: Experience with network hardware (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls) and software.
- Performance Optimization: Skills in optimizing network performance and reliability.
- Documentation: Ability to create and maintain detailed network documentation.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration and reporting.
- Project Management: Ability to manage network-related projects and coordinate with cross-functional teams.
- Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with cloud networking, virtualization, and network automation tools.
Functional Responsibilities
- High level of familiarity with networking technologies and capable of troubleshooting all levels of network connectivity issues including, but not limited to, network outages, switch failures, network performance, network interface card (NIC), cabling, TCP/IP configuration, etc.
- Knowledge of and familiarity with Wide Area Network (WAN) technologies including, but not limited to, routers.
- ATM, Frame Relay, etc.; respond to trouble tickets from the Help Desk automated trouble ticketing system; perform network-related hardware and software System Administration functions best suited for after hours, including patches, upgrades, service packs, hotfixes, etc. to ensure system availability, reliability, and serviceability.
- Familiarity with Domain Name Services (DNS) and other networking technologies.
- Shall be named to fill each shift during a 24x7x365 work week at the DCF, and WCF locations.

Pay: $120,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
