Activities Assistant - Archbold Living Cairo
Position Description:
Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action
Must possess the ability to tactfully deal with personnel, residents, family members, visitors and the public
Must have patience, tact, cheerful disposition and enthusiasm, as well as be willing to handle patients based on whatever maturity level they are currently functioning
Possess the ability to seek out new methods and principles and be willing to incorporate them into the existing activity programs
Must have a sincere desire to work with the aged
Must have some understanding of the social, psychological and recreation needs of the aged
Key Responsibilities / Accountabilities: Demonstrates effective organizational, communication and leadership skills
Assist Activities Director with ongoing activities program and to meet the needs of the residents
Maintains a safe working environment
Assures the rights of residents are protected
Assumes responsibility for age-related care
Education/Experience:
High school graduate or GED, and must attend and complete an Activity Director's Training Course
Must be knowledgeable and show ability to direct arts and crafts programs
Must have creative ability and imagination.
Have good one-on-one communication.
