Excellent opportunity to join the Charlotte, NC sales team of an industry leader in the Building Automation industry. You will compliment this growing branch by utilizing effective lead generation techniques, as well as selling HVAC building automation controls to consultants, specifying engineers, general contractors, and mechanical contractors. This could be an excellent opportunity for a Project Manager, Estimator, or Sales Engineer of HVAC mechanical equipment to move into sales of building automation systems. Territory is Charlotte, Western NC to Asheville, and adjacent SC counties of York, Chester, and Lancaster.
Compensation commensurate with experience with a salary in the $100,000-$118,000 range, plus an excellent incentive program and comprehensive benefits package. Sign-on bonus and guarantee will be considered.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Cultivate and close commercial HVAC/Building Automation projects with consultants, specifying engineers, general contractors, and mechanical contractors.
- Meet directly with customers to establish needs and drive the overall sales process.
- Work with Operations personnel to execute growth, development, sales and marketing of all building automation solutions offered by company.
- Create market awareness for company through networking, cold calling, presentations, and attendance at local trade association meetings.
- Craft and submit professional written proposals/bids within established deadlines.
Minimum Requirements:
- Associate degree or equivalent applicable work experience required. Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or engineering desired.
- Expertise in selling Integrated Building Automation Systems desired, but related sales to the same buyers will be considered, as well as technical field experience such as BAS Project Management.
- Formal strategic selling or other type of professional sales training desired.
