PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
To effectively receive, inspect and report all food and non-food items to ensure they meet quality standards of the hotel.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND JOB DUTIES:

Receive and inspect all incoming food items.
- Ensure proper handling and refrigeration of all food items.
- Ensure all food and liquor requisitions are completed properly.
- Receive and inspect all incoming non-food items.
- Receive all food and non-food items on Birchstreet.
- Complete receiving report on all food and non-food items on Birchstreet.
- Receive, inspect and log all incoming guest packages, notify proper departments upon receipt of packages.
- Responsible for shipping all guest packages as well as hotel related packages.
- Maintain organization of the walk-ins and Dry Storage area. Proper rotation of products. FIFO
SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for the neatness and light cleaning of the Loading Dock area.
- Assist with monthly inventory.
- Must be on-time to receive first deliveries on the dock.
- Ensure proper use and care-of equipment.
- Additional duties not mentioned above may also be required by Supervisor
EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE /LICENSES OR CERTIFICATES / REQUIRED:

Use written (verbal/visual) sources of information, e.g. read reports,, procedural documentation and reference materials.
- Use verbal auditory sources of information, e.g. interviews, group meetings.
- Use oral communications to perform work, e.g. answer telephone and receive visitors.
- Stand, reach, grasp, squat, bend, push & pull, lift & carry up to 75lbs.
- Make minor decisions requiring limited judgment, e.g. receiving, ordering, and or refusing products.
- Use of web based purchasing program, Birchstreet.
- Use of computer programs, e.g. Microsoft Excel and Word.
