Position Summary
The West Bath Fabrication Processor will support a modern Metals Fabrication shop. The ideal candidate will be able to use a variety of equipment such as an oxy-acetylene torch and a hand-held plasma torch. Must be detail-oriented, able to stand for long periods, and lift to 50 pounds repeatedly over a 10-hour shift (M-TH). Focus on safety and quality are of greatest importance in this position.
What You’ll Do
- Foster a culture of safety awareness & safety prioritization that ensures compliance.
- Ensure that quality standards are met, and champion quality ownership of the work center.
- Enforce all company rules, policies, and procedures; communicate concerns with division management and/or Corporate.
- Split I-beams by plasma into equal splits, run them through a straightener and bundle them.
- deflange I-beams by standing them up and burning the flanges off one side using Oxy acetylene making it a T-bar.
- Cut material and straighten beams two different ways by using heat and water or a set of pneumatic hammers to straighten.
- Stack and load material on a trailer by crane.
- Work on a variety of in-house projects that include building racks, tables, and frames.
- Ensure all work meets quality standards and specifications.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time.
- Responsible for keeping areas clean and safe from hazards.
- Perform any other tasks or duties as assigned by the division and/or corporate management team.
Education Requirements
- A minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent such as a GED, is required.
- Technical school and/or practical experience is highly preferred.
Experience and Certifications
- Oxy Acetylene torch required.
- Forklift, Bridge Crane experience preferred.
- Welding experience preferred.
- Hand-held Plasma Torch experience preferred.
- Blueprint and drawing interpretation a plus.
- Working knowledge of setup and fabrication techniques.
- Experience in a Manufacturing facility is a plus.

- Close mental and visual attention required, coordinating manual dexterity with mental and visual attention for sustained periods.
