Responsibilities
Provides management of the Network Services Team in an IT environment with over 20,000 end-users across 400+ sites. Provide overall direction of project activities. Manage and maintain Contractor interface with the senior levels of the customer's organization. Consult with customer and Contractor personnel to formulate and review task plans and deliverables, ensuring conformance with program and project task schedules and contractual obligations. Establish and maintain technical reports to show progress of projects to management and customers, organize and assign responsibilities to subordinates, oversee the successful completion of all assigned tasks, and take the initiative and provide support to marketing personnel in identifying and acquiring potential business.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in a computer science/engineering, Information Systems, Business or related discipline, and a minimum of 10 years experience. Master's Degree in electrical/computer engineering or related discipline preferred.
- Must have Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI).
- Certification in ITIL v3 Foundations certification or above is required.
- Certification in Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) required. Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) preferred.
- At least 10 years of related local area network/wide area network (LAN/WAN) work experience.
- At least 10 years of experience implementing large-scaled projects/systems.
- Experience organizing, directing, and managing contract operation support functions for multiple, complex, and inter-related IT projects with a combined scope of over 10,000 users and 50 sites.
- A broad knowledge of unified communications, network, and telecommunications.
- Experience managing teams of contract support personnel at multiple locations.
- Experience maintaining and managing client interface at senior levels of the client organization.
- Meets with customer and contractor personnel to formulate and review task plans and deliverable items. Ensures conformance with program task schedules and costs.
- Provide a high level of technical understanding for problem solving and troubleshooting.
- Interact with Hardware and Software vendors to address issues when necessary.
- Use escalation standards and personal judgment to ensure timely resolution of problems.
- Provide training and support to employees when necessary.
- Accept and resolve escalated trouble tickets from Service Desk
- Work on-call shift rotations with other members of the department.
- Deployment and troubleshooting of network equipment such as Cisco routers, switches.
- Deployment and troubleshooting of Remote Access Solutions (Cisco AnyConnect and Cisco ASA's, Cisco ISE)
- Generate Build of Materials, Cost Estimates and Solution recommendations
- Respond to cyber incidents as defined in incident response SOPs.
- Experience with Cisco hardware and software (Cisco Switches, Routers, IOS) (6500's, 4500's, 2960's, 3850's, Nexus 7000's, 9300's, 5525, 4125, ASA's, FSMs, ISE)
- Experience with Windows, Windows Server, Linux, and Unix (Solaris) OS
- Understanding of TCP/IP, VLANS and routing protocols (EIGRP, OSPF, BGP) and WAN (MPLS) protocol
- Experience with Cisco Wireless, VOIP, and Video Networks
- Understanding of IP services (DHCP, TFTP and DNS) Target Salary Range
$104,000 - $166,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
