Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager to oversee the operations of our Property Owners Association. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing staff, ensuring excellent customer service, and maximizing our communities potential.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as Chief Operating Officer of the Property Owners Association and operates under the Board of Directors. This position is responsible for the following areas of management
- Membership/Community
- Works to assure that membership concerns and written requests for information are addressed in a timely, respectful manner
- Coordinates the communication of events and notices to the membership
- Maintains relations with the Village of Lake Tanglewood, including the Police Department.
- Secures bids and oversees improvement projects
- Financial
- Works with the Corporate CPS Firm to develop meaningful systems to monitor and manage the funds of the Property Owners Association
- Develops and maintains annual budget approved by the Board of Directors
- Develop and implement a five-year plan
- Personnel
- Works to ensure that employee concerns are addressed and treat all employees with dignity and respect
- Works with department heads on personnel related matters including compensation, training, performance standards, and pay increases
- Administrative
- Ensures records of the Association and its assets are maintained
- Strives to ensure all buildings, land, or assets belonging to the Association are operated in accordance with all applicable Federal, State laws, deed restrictions, easements and By-Laws
- Works with the Association's Attorneys regarding Rules and Regulations, legal issues, and POA rules
- Works with the insurance agent/agents to negotiate commercial and group insurance policies and rates and handle claims
- Restaurant
- assist and advise the Restaurant Supervisor on the following items
- Develop menu and pricing
- Monitoring sales, costs, labor hours, and negotiating with vendors
- Managing personnel
- Purchase of equipment
- Main Office
- assist and advise the Office Manager on the following
- Security of the main gate entrance
- Authorizing purchases and checks
- Managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll
- Maintenance Department
- assist and advise the Maintenance Manager on the following
- Keeping the public water system in compliance with state and federal standards, including year end reports to the T.C.E.Q., Public Utility Commission, Texas Water Development Board, and the Department of State and Health Services
- Maintenance of all Property Owners Association properties, including lake, golf course, roads, community center, park, and general maintenance
