Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Travel Nurse to join our healthcare team. As a Travel Nurse, you will have the opportunity to work in various healthcare settings and locations, providing high-quality patient care. This is a temporary position that offers flexibility and the chance to explore new places while making a difference in patients' lives.
Duties:
- Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and assisting with procedures
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans
- Conduct assessments and document patient information accurately
- Educate patients and their families on healthcare procedures, conditions, and self-care techniques
- Assist with specimen collection processing and ensure proper labeling and documentation
- Utilize electronic medical record systems (e.g., eClinicalWorks) for documentation and communication
- Participate in discharge planning and coordinate post-discharge care for patients
- Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain aseptic technique during procedures
- Stay updated on medical advancements, treatments, and best practices in nursing
Experience:
To be successful in this role, you should have the following qualifications:
- Valid nursing license
- Previous experience as a nurse in various healthcare settings
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred
- Knowledge of ICD-9 coding system for accurate documentation and billing purposes
- Familiarity with botulinum toxin treatment is a plus
