Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced QA Team Lead to oversee our quality assurance team. The Team Leader will work in conjunction with the QA Manager and all Production Supervisors and/or team leads to support the production efforts of the Bellingham Plant on their assigned shift including production, quality, packaging, training and ensuring the Plant environment meets food safety cleanliness objectives, and operates according to established safety standards.
Responsibilities:
-Ensures each Associate has knowledge of and acts with adherence to established food safety standards through meetings, written communications and observation.
-Provides training to QA technicians.
-Partners with QA techs to help monitor product quality and respond to issues.
-Assists with inspecting/testing all raw materials, in-process and finished goods according to the specifications set forth in the Quality Standards.
-Assists the Quality Manager as needed.
-Problem solving issues in quality, food safety and production.
-Ensures appropriate housekeeping standards.
-Exhibits behaviors that promote a positive work environment, relationships and personal integrity.
Qualifications:
-Minimum one year of experience in a manufacturing environment or equivalent experience, preferably in food manufacturing.
-Knowledge of manufacturing and laboratory positions in order to ensure appropriate training and meet back-up objectives.
-Must be self-motivated and a strong team player.
-Ability to step into Quality lab as a back-up if needed.
-Ability to assist with start-ups and shut-downs.
-Ability to respond to changes quickly and pay close attention to detail.
-Knowledge of safety, quality and housekeeping standards.
-Ability to read, understand, and interpret Company policies relating to safety, quality, and housekeeping standards.
-Ability to train, coach and mentor.
-Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem solving skills.
-Significant experience in a deadline driven environment (i.e., production deadlines, shipping deadlines, customer response deadlines).
-Strong conflict resolution and planning/organizing skills.
-Strong commitment to company values.
-High School Diploma or equivalent.
