Electrical Maintenance
Location: Mobile, Alabama area (On Site)
SSAB Special Steels is looking for a motivated, performance-driven Electrical Maintenance professional to join our team in the Mobile, Alabama area. About the Position
As an Electrical Maintenance employee in our mill’s heat treat area, you will be responsible for maintaining all department equipment and buildings to keep them operating in a safe manner while eliminating downtime to maintain high utilization and throughput of product in a cost-effective manner. You will complete work assigned by the Electrical Maintenance Engineer, Electrical Maintenance Team Leader, Maintenance Planner, or other departmental management team members, in a safe and timely fashion.
Main Responsibilities
- Work closely with operations department personnel to reduce downtime and improve equipment utilization
- Work with all outside contractor personnel to efficiently maintain the Heat Treat Department equipment
- Contribute to and participate in continuous improvement projects
- Correct electrical issues and work to improve process and equipment to avoid future breakdowns
- Perform preventative maintenance on all equipment as required and enter work orders
About You
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum three (3) years of heavy industrial maintenance experience, including working with, troubleshooting, and maintaining industrial drives
- Experience with 3-phase voltage
- In-depth knowledge of the functions, usage, and troubleshooting of RTD’s, LVDT’s, encoders, tach’s, etc.
- Familiar with installing, calibrating, and troubleshooting electrical instrumentation
- Able to read, develop, and follow blueprints and wiring schematics
- Preferred: Heat Treating experience – quench & temper; experience with Profibus, PLC networks, and network switches; and knowledge of hydraulic systems.
