Established in 1886, the prestigious San Diego Yacht Club is a part of the incredible history of San Diego. Home to many world class sailors and Olympians, we are consistently ranked among the top 5 yacht clubs in the Nation and recently recognized as being one of the top 50 yacht clubs in the world.
The San Diego Yacht Club is seeking seasonal lifeguards who understand the great importance of boating and water safety. Ideal candidates will have a positive attitude, a great work ethic, a love for customer service, and a current lifeguard certification to join our team. Primary responsibilities will be monitoring activity in our 25-yard pool, indoor jacuzzi and Pavilion area.
Responsibilities
· Poolside lifeguard positions guard swimmers in various age groups, perform rescues, administer first-aid, warn patrons of dangerous water conditions, enforce aquatic and Club regulations.
· Other responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, pool cleaning and maintenance tasks; participating and passing monthly scheduled in-services; inventory of pool supplies.
· Lifeguards will be available primarily during the summer, from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day.
· Additional opportunities for guarding private parties may become available.
· Lifeguard employees may be required to work holidays and weekends.
· Lifeguard employees must wear standard apparel provided by the San Diego Yacht Club upon hire.
· Lifeguard employees must requalify for required certificates to retain employment.
Qualifications
· American Red Cross Lifeguard Certificate
· American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers OR American Heart Association CPR/AED for Healthcare Providers Certificate

Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
