HealthSource Integrated Solutions (HIS) is looking for a highly competent Credentialing Specialist to join our team in providing outsourced and medical credentialing services! HIS, a leader in mental health support services in the state of Kansas, provides 24/7 telephonic and tele-video assessment support to individuals in crisis, IT shared services, and HR support. We are looking for detail-oriented, hardworking professionals to join our amazing team.
A Credentialing Specialist’s primary responsibility it to provide support to the HR department, Crisis Call Center, and to external customers. Our staff work to provide support the statewide Community Mental Health Centers to credential their staff with medical facilities and the Managed Care Organizations that serve the State of Kansas.
Duties:
- Compiles and maintains current and accurate data for all providers
- Completes provider credentialing and recredentialing applications; monitors applications and follows-up as needed.
- Maintains copies of current state licenses, DEA certificates, malpractice coverage and any other required credentialing documents for all providers.
- Tracks license and certification expirations for all providers to ensure timely renewals.
- Maintains employee files and records according to policies, laws and regulations.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Associate or vocational degree preferred.
- Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) preferred.
- Two (2) years of relevant credentialing experience preferred.
- Ability to organize and prioritize work and manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills including letters, memos and emails
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with providers, management, staff, and contacts outside the organization.
