Description
Under the supervision of the Clinical Nutrition Manager, the Clinical Dietitian has responsibilities for the medical nutrition therapy of inpatients in a specialized area like cardiology, med/surgery, GI, renal, organ transplant, liver disease, neurology, head/neck, oncology, critical care, ED, and overflow.
Responsibilities include:
- Assessment, documentation, implementation, monitoring and reassessment of the care plan
- Patient education; referral for further care at discharge from UCLA health network.
- NFPE and malnutrition.
- Communicates with and works as a team member, interacting with dietetic technicians, food service personnel, nurses, physicians, patients, and other healthcare team members.
- Participates in departmental activities, including performance improvement. Attends meetings and rounds.
- This role does not cover the same units daily, instead, it covers the units that need coverage.
Salary range: $37.83- 49.89 Hourly
