JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Title: REGISTERED NURSE
Reports To: Director
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
SUMMARY
The Registered Nurse acts as a member of the interdisciplinary team by providing core services to LVAS clients. This position will manage care and medication services to adults with intellectual disabilities as well as provide safety and wellness precautions in accordance with facility or department policies and procedures.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

Set up plans for patients' care or contribute information to existing plans.

Evaluation Review of Medication Procedures

Medication Administration Record review

Medication Monitoring (as necessary)

Plan Reviews/ Personal Care Policy Review

Medical Emergencies

Additional duties/ functions as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS and/or EXPERIENCE
-
Current Registered Nurse License in the Commonwealth of PA.

ve geriatric experience or experience with adults with functional impairment.
EDUCATION
-
Bachelor of Science in Nursing
-
2-3 year’s work experience working directly with the intellectual disability population.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
-
Ability to read and interpret documents such as procedure manuals and regulations.

Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak and communicate well with customers and staff.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Must have customer service skills and the ability to work independently.

Knowledge and competence that reflects current nursing practice.

Ability to organize and prioritize assignments in the delivery of patient care.

Successful completion of additional training and programs related to specialty.
