Network Services Manager
(Exempt)
Service Criteria

Purpose
In accordance with established policies and procedures, the incumbent manages the network operations for the Bank. This position is accountable to the Senior Vice President, Senior Information Technology Officer.
Duties and Responsibilities
I. Management
a. Oversee network-based projects and activities performed by the IT Department.
b. Maintain the overall health of physical and virtual server environments along with its supporting network infrastructure.
c. Oversee a mobile device fleet to include MDM, WiFi and VPN environments.
d. Support and maintain printers deployed throughout the organization.
e. Provide oversight and support of a Mitel VoIP phone system to include call center applications.
f. Follow and maintain Network Services procedures and documentation.
g. Provide leadership and guidance to the Network Services staff.
h. Build and maintain external relationships which can produce support and guidance as needed.
i. Provide supervision and conduct performance evaluations for existing network technicians.
II. Planning
a. Assist with the Bank’s short and long-range technology planning process.
b. Assist with IT related capital budget preparation.
c. Assist with departmental business continuity planning activities.
III. Information Security
a. Protect confidential and private information for the Bank and its customers.
b. Review and manage various security logs and reports to ensure a safe network environment.
c. Facilitate internal and external vulnerability scanning and address potential findings.
d. Oversee the timely installation of software updates and patches.
e. Manage firewall rule changes and conduct quarterly reviews to ensure proper configurations.
f. Ensure timely and proper backups on internally managed servers.
g. Produce and provide various security reports for committee review.
IV. Compliance
a. Ensure compliance with all IT-related policies and regulations.
b. Ensure compliance with all software licenses and agreements
V. Research and Development
a. Plan and coordinate the research, testing and implementation of new technologies.
b. Recommend solutions pertaining to IT systems and security.
c. Continue to look for ways to utilize technology to improve Bank operations.
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE/TRAINING REQUIRED:
Associates degree with concentration in computer sciences.
3 - 5 years comparable work experience with a record of on-going training.
Prior supervisory experience necessary.
Must be a logical thinker with extensive familiarity with personal computers, networks, and current operating systems. Should be knowledgeable in application and use of software currently used (Microsoft Office, Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft Desktop OS, Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft SQL Server, TCPIP, Internet Services, VoIP, Virtual Servers, Firewall, Router, Anti-virus, Backup solutions, mobile device management and security best practices).
Interpersonal and communication skills must be well developed in order to maximize time spent interacting with users and soliciting help from fellow associates.
Must be a flexible team-player with the ability to analyze and prioritize user needs with a focus on Customer First Service.
Must have excellent technical and analytical skills in order to research, test, recommend, and implement new systems hardware and software.
Good organizational skills are required in order to properly document all system activity.
Must be willing to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing work environment.
A valid driver’s license is required as travel to various branches and training facilities is required as needed.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Extensive use of computers requiring visual dexterity. Some physical effort is needed in working with materials and supplies with occasional lifting of 25 pounds or more. Frequent operation of office equipment again requiring dexterity, visual attention and coordination.
