As we expand our presence in the United States, we're seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to lead our US business from our new US headquarters.
Role Overview
As the General Manager of Vuly Play USA, you'll spearhead the establishment and management of our operations across the United States. This pivotal role involves launching our US office, overseeing day-to-day operations, and guiding our sales and service teams. You'll play a crucial role in recruiting, training, and nurturing a high-performing team to meet our business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and manage the Vuly Play USA office, which will encompass sales, service, spare parts, and showroom functions.
- Develop and implement business plans to achieve sales targets and profitability goals.
- Lead, motivate, and mentor the sales and service teams to deliver exceptional results in direct customer interactions.
- Oversee all operational aspects, including inventory management, logistics, and customer support.
- Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders, including retailers, distributors, and customers.
- Collaborate with the global team to tailor marketing strategies and product offerings for the US market.
- Address day-to-day operational issues such as managing installation contractors, third-party logistics, freight, and logistics partners.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and quality standards.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in operations management within an e-commerce business.
- Background in online advertising, warehousing logistics and call centre management is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of outdoor recreation or consumer goods industry is highly desireable.
- Strong business acumen with a strategic mindset and results-driven approach.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to cultivate and inspire a high-performing team in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally, including spending significant time in Australia for training and collaboration.
- Commitment to working from the office, providing hands-on management and guidance to the team.
